Facility Tech Position Opening

The Port of Sunnyside is seeking a Facility Technician for the Industrial Waste Water Treatment Facility (IWWTF).  Qualified candidates will have the ability to understand and help maintain all aspects of the IWWTF treatment processes and equipment, including: aerobic lagoon system, sequencing batch reactors, anaerobic lagoon system, dewatering facility and more.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining a fully accredited Washington State Lab facility; analyses of water samples collected; assure compliance. Help to provide data necessary for the Operator, Sprayfield Manager, and key personnel.

Desired qualifications are: Minimum of a two (2) year degree from a technical institute or college and at least two years of experience in environmental sampling, experience in monitoring wells, soil testing, flow meters and samplers or related work.  Valid Washington State vehicle operator's license.

The position is full time, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some evening meetings.  Salary range is $40,000 - $60,000 DOQ plus an excellent benefit package including medical, dental and PERS retirement.
