Port inks deal with Ostrom's Mushroom Farms - June 20, 2017

The Port of Sunnyside has agreed to sell 25 acres of land at the corner of Duffy and Midvale Roads south of Interstate 82 to Ostrom's Mushroom Farms . The deal provides Ostrom's with an option to purchase an additional 20 acres at a later date. Ostrom's Mushroom Farms plans on opening a $25 million facility that will employ 200 employees, house 48 grow rooms and a compost facility. CERB funding Approved for Planning Grant - March 27, 2017

The Port of Sunnyside went before the Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) board on May 18, 2017 to request funding to develop a 32 acre site between exit 67 and exit 69. The funds will help finance investment in infrastructure to promote economic and industrial development of public land. The Port plans on developing the property for future commercial development... CERB Funding Approved for Brewery - January 25, 2017

On Thursday, January 19, 2017 the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) approved a $700,000 loan/grant combination for the Port of Sunnyside to modify the building located at 416 E Edison Ave. The building will be the future home of Varietal Brewing Company which will be used as a brewery, tap room and bottling facility. Meier Architecture to Design Brewery - December 07, 2016

Meier Architecture of Kennewick, Washington has been chosen to design the Port's newest project - a brewery in downtown Sunnyside. New Property Purchase - April 26, 2016

On Monday, April 25, 2016 Port Commissioners approved the purchase of 501 E. Edison Avenue located on the corner of South Fifth Street and East Edison Avenue.
